Are you getting the most from your KiwiSaver and Retirement Savings schemes?
STONZ has partnered with MAS to promote to our members a reputable source of financial advice. Check out their page on our website and read more below.
As an RMO employed by Te Whatu Ora | Health New Zealand under STONZ SECA, you are eligible for a matching 6% superannuation contribution on top of your regular salary, per clause 12.6. This matching contribution is a significant benefit and is double the rate received by most employees in New Zealand.
If you are a member of a KiwiSaver scheme or a participating superannuation scheme, you will likely be receiving this benefit already.
If you are not a member or either type of scheme, you may be missing out on your entitlement to 6% employer contributions.
KiwiSaver is only available to NZ residents. However, both NZ residents and non-residents are welcome to join a participating Superannuation Scheme, such as the MAS Retirement Savings Scheme.
Members who receive their 6% contribution into the MAS Retirement Savings Scheme can withdraw their entire balance if they depart NZ permanently. If members remain in NZ, they can also withdraw their savings from age 55 vs. age 65 in KiwiSaver.
